Head of Ventures at MSDUK

Bao is an alumnus from University College London (UCL) and London Business School (LBS) Entrepreneurship programmes. His entrepreneurship experience and journey has covered studying entrepreneurship, working as a teaching assistant on the MSc Entrepreneurship course at UCL, founder and working for a multi-million VC backed startup in Berlin. He has won and helped students win competitions and awards for entrepreneurship.

He has been a startup educator, mentor, coach and judge for various startup/entrepreneurship programs such as UCL Global Citizen Challenge, Disruptors.AI, Wolves Summit, ReaktorX and Hult Prize.

He is currently Head of Ventures at MSDUK, working on a new startup accelerator to support ethnic minority startups. He also previously led and developed the UCL Innovation & Enterprise Hatchery Startup Incubator programme. Over four years, he worked with over 170 startups, 50% went on to raise investment totalling £19 million during their incubation in the Hatchery. Had six startups awarded Forbes 30 under 30 Europe, three startups selected for Y Combinator and one student startup winning the million Hult Prize.
